Paint, Parties, Parks and Performing

Posted on Aug 25th, 2016

Phew! It’s been a busy week for me and the PaintJam team! I’m off to the “Party Like a Rockstar” awards tonight in Houston to perform for the International Live Events Association. Next, we’re off to Biloxi, Mississippi to paint up a storm for NAPA Auto Parts at the Beau Rivage – this is the third time they’ve booked us this year, so I guess we’re doing something right!

It’s great to be so busy. We’re getting our Symphony Performance full stage show ready to hit the road full time as well, outfitting a 20-foot trailer with a green room and sleeping quarters. As the show becomes a full-time venture, we’ll be able to stay at State and National Parks when we’re on the road – a longtime dream of mine. My wife, Cindy and I both love nature and hiking, so it’s the perfect way for us to stop and smell the roses while we tour, and the trailer will give us and the PaintJam team a home base on the road.

When I’m not performing, touring or outfitting trailers, I’ve been keeping busy rehearsing for the Symphony Performance show – and designing some exciting new pieces and making a few tweaks. I’m still showing and performing at my gallery in The Silos at Sawyer Yard too – I love being a part of the growing art scene in Houston. And of course, there’s always custom pieces and studio commissions in the works – I’m basically a painting machine these days!

Giddy-up!
